Cela repr\u00e9sente plus du tiers de notre inventaire actuel de logements. La fa\u00e7on dont nous construisons ces nouvelles maisons aura aussi des r\u00e9percussions majeures sur les objectifs du Canada en mati\u00e8re de changements climatiques et de r\u00e9silience. Bien qu\u2019il ne soit pas question que ce soit un d\u00e9fi g\u00e9n\u00e9rationnel, c\u2019est aussi une occasion historique de construire plus de logements de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">meilleure qualit\u00e9<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> pour une population en croissance rapide.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Que signifie construire de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">meilleurs logements<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">? Cela signifie qu\u2019il faut les rendre abordables, \u00e0 faibles \u00e9missions de carbone et r\u00e9sistants aux effets de plus en plus pr\u00e9occupants des changements climatiques \u2013 afin que nous puissions non seulement faire face \u00e0 cette crise du logement, mais aussi prendre des mesures essentielles pour faire face \u00e0 la crise climatique.<\/span><\/p><p>Pour saisir cette occasion historique, le Fonds pour une \u00e9conomie propre a lanc\u00e9 le goupe de travail pour l'habitation et le climat en juin\u00a02023. L\u2019objectif de cette initiative est de fournir de la recherche, du plaidoyer strat\u00e9gique et les communications irr\u00e9sistibles n\u00e9cessaires pour que les gouvernements \u00e0 tous les niveaux puissent s\u2019assurer que nous obtenons 5,8 maisons de la bonne mani\u00e8re.<\/p><p>En plus de soutenir la recherche faite par sept groupes d'acad\u00e9miques universitaires et d\u2019ONG, l\u2019Initiative a mis sur pied un groupe de travail influent pour le logement et le climat.<\/p><p>The Task Force, which consists of 15 housing experts from across Canada, including former elected officials, mayors and chief planners, Indigenous leaders, designers, builders and developers, affordability advocates, and finance and insurance experts, delivered its final product in March 2024. The <em>Blueprint for More and Better Housing<\/em> was immediately celebrated by media, governments and stakeholders as an authoritative reference, and its 140+ policy recommendations have been adopted by many governments to date.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mais il reste encore beaucoup \u00e0 faire.
