Currently less than two percent of philanthropy in Canada goes toward efforts that combat climate change. Yet evidence shows that philanthropy can be a powerful catalyst for game-changing climate solutions and for supporting giant leaps toward a prosperous, net-zero emissions future.<\/p>

Clean Economy Fund exists to support this kind of philanthropy.<\/p>

We are a charitable public foundation with the mandate to rally more philanthropy for high-impact climate solutions in Canada.<\/p>

As a registered charity and public foundation, the Clean Economy Fund provides a variety of tax-receiptable funding vehicles to help climate philanthropy reach its target. These include collaborative pooled funds as well as individual donor-advised accounts. In 2024, Clean Economy Fund launched the acclaimed Climate Champions platform. The Climate Champions platform is designed to recruit and celebrate new climate philanthropy in Canada. Its goal is ambitious and clear: to triple the amount of climate philanthropy in Canada, from approximately $350 million to $1 billion, by 2030. The platform has already succeeded in rallying commitments totaling $481 million. Help us keep up the momentum.
